Christmas Rambles

So I haven't blogged in awhile, I'll make my apology short and sweet, my bad.

Anyways, it is 5 days until Christmas and I just now have begun to feel the season. This has made me really sad. The season didn't feel the same this year with me living in the dorms, and when I came home my parents didn't decorate the house, inside or out, so that was a damper. We pretty much only have a tree up. This has taken a toll on my mood so for the next few nights if I'm not working or after I get off I have told myself to go buy myself a coffee and look at lights. Despite my financial struggle of being alive and all I have deemed my happiness of higher importance.

Today, Dimia and I baked Christmas cookies while watching Christmas shows. This was the start of my fantastic Christmas filled five days to follow. Although my season has started late, at least it has started.

Merry Christmas everybody, don't go in debt too much.

Home Alone

Literally. Finals are done and everyone is moved out, except for myself of course. Why? Because I am a money hungry workaholic and have offered to stay and work the entire weekend before I leave. Last week I clocked in for 37 hours. That is three hours shy of being considered a full-time job on top of my 16hour school schedule. This has to stop next semester or I might just die.

Thoughts Leading Up to Finals

Finals are next week and it is my duty as a college student to wait until Sunday to study. I'm kidding, I actually interrupted a study session to do this blog. That was mostly because I realized I had been doing the wrong chapter for some time and that frustrated me to a point of taking a break. I thought this the perfect time to tell you a bit of my wisdom I have gained over my first semester.
For you freshmen next year:
1. Despite the fact that you have been getting up at 8am for 13 years, once you are in college, it does not happen. Do not sign up for an 8 am class. Even 9 am is pushing it.
2. If you have a parking spot close to your dorm, do. not. leave. I repeat, don't leave. You will never get that spot again.
3. If you're thinking about getting a bike, ask yourself... Do you want to be THAT person. You know who I mean, the one that zips by literally making people drop their books. Or the person that awkwardly rolls behind groups of pedestrians. Just walk.
4. If you're going to get a job and take 15 hours, get an understanding manager. Because it is hard as hell to work 25 hours a week and still keep up your grades. Trust me, I know.
5. Never buy your books from the actual campus bookstore. Shiesters, they be. Those books are so overpriced.
6. If you have an assignment doe on Monday and you say to yourself "I've got all weekend to do it," you'd better stop right there because I can bet that weekend is going to go by so quick and you won't be feeling too homework ready on Sunday. Just saying. Do it before the weekend starts.

Live long and prosper fellow tadpoles of the pond of higher level education.
