I have been thinking about it and for the past 6 years I have been obsessed with my hair. I have bought a $120 appliance to change it on a day to day basis. I have damaged my hair really beyond repair doing so as well. I have been programmed by society that curly hair is nappy and just not pretty. Well guess what, fuck you society because I'm wearing my hair natural 95% of the time now. It has taken me this long to realize that I can have curly hair and be pretty at the same time. And it makes me sad when I think back to waking up so early to try to please people that I never see now.
