| The $5 Savings Plan- Have You Tried It? |
Okay, so the idea is to save money. If you've got a trip coming up, a birthday, or Christmas this could be a good, easy way to save those dollars! The concept is every $5 bill you receive, you don't spend. Keep them in savings or away, but don't spend them. I imagine enough $5 bills will add up fairly quick! The reason this will mostly work for me is I know I would feel guilty even pulling out a 5. So my own conscious will keep me in line.
Next year I am hoping to be moving into an apartment, so my goal is to buy new furniture! Yahoo!
A couple Cons to the method is:
If you are a regular card user then you most likely wont save nearly as much as someone with cash.
This is probably just for me, but as a waitress my boss sometimes pays me out in $5's. So I'll receive... 80 bucks in 5's. I'll have a lot saved that's for sure!
So go out and be prosperous.

how is this working out?
ReplyDeleteI thought it was a good idea, but recently I have been doing so good at work that I am actually making more than I can even spend lol. So while I was saving my 5's I also just was saving everything else... and in the end just decided to just combine it. SO, I should add to the blog that it is a good saving method if you are a regular spender. Which I am to an extent but not enough that those 5's would have been my only savings.
