How to DIY: Loop T-Shirt Scarf

Loop T-Shirt Scarf

Step 1: Start off with a t-shirt. Since this scarf is two colors, you will obviously need two t-shirts. You can use as many colors as you want, even one. I'll be using pink and brown.

Step 2: Cut the seam off of the bottom of the t-shirt.

Step 3: Cut 1/2inch to 1 inch strips out of the shirt. Do this all the way up or until you feel you have enough strips of that color.

Tip: Too thin and they make break. Too thick and they won't look right, so be mindful!

Step 4: Pull the strips so they curl. Here's a picture because I know that makes close to no sense in text!

Step 5: Wrap each strip around your hand making these little loops. It was at this moment I realized I could never be a hand model.

Step 6: You can probably tell by now that my scarf is predominately brown. This is because my pink fabric was being a pain and was not stretching. So, I decided to use the pink to simply link the loops together instead of having pink loops too. Just cut small strips and tie a knot linking all the loops together.

You can choose to be done here! If you like the way this looks then yahoo! But since the girl I'm making this for wanted pink I felt the need to become innovative and make it happen.

Optional Step 7: Take a pink strip (cut from the shirt in step 3) and cut it in half so it is a long strip instead of a loop. Then weave it through the loops!
